AZ action Diary - McCain Must Disown Hagee!

Fri May 16, 2008 at 02:14:38 PM PDT

I'm going to make this short and sweet.

McCain is not only a presidential candidate. For those of us who live in AZ, we have the honor of having him as our senator.

I had heard Pastor Hagee's views in dogemperor's past diary, but I really did nothing. When I read an expansion on Hagee's views in troutfishing's diary, I felt I had to do something.

I simply called McCain's office and stated that I was a constituent and had heard excerpts from John Hagee's sermons explaining that -

Hitler was a "hunter" for God - That what he did was fulfilling a biblical prophecy to force Jews to return to Israel

And I simply asked to know what Senator's McCain response was. Whether he is going to denounce Hagee and reject his endorsement.

I gave them my address and said I would be expecting a letter.

I encourage all other residents of AZ to do the same.  Hagee is not someone who should have any so called "moderate" Senator's ear, let alone any President's ear.

From Troutfishing's diary - I leave you with a quote from Hagee

God says in Jeremiah 16 - "Behold I will bring them the Jewish people again unto their land that I gave unto their fathers" - that would be Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - "Behold I will send for many fishers and after will I send for many hunters. And they the hunters shall hunt them" - that will be the Jews - "from every mountain and from every hill and from out of the holes of the rocks." If that doesn't describe what Hitler did in the Holocaust... you can't see that.

So think about this - I will send fishers and I will send hunters. A fisher is someone who entices you with a bait. How many of you know who Theodore Hertzel was? How many of you don't have a clue who he was? WOO... Sweet God!

Theodore Hertzel is the father of Zionism. He was a Jew that at the turn of the 19th century said - "this land is our land, God wants us to live there". So he went to the Jews of Europe and said, "I want you to come and join me in the land of Israel". So few went, Hertzel went into depression. Those who came founded Israel; those who did not went through the hell of the Holocaust.

Then god sent a hunter. A hunter is someone who comes with a gun and he forces you. Hitler was a hunter.

And the Bible says ...-  "they shall hunt them from every mountain and from every hill  and out of the holes of the rocks", meaning: there's no place to hide.

I say
"John McCain - there's no place to hide."
"John McCain - do you agree with Pastor Hagee that God sent Hitler - or do you disagree?"
"John McCain - Do you disown Hagee, or are you "proud to accept his endorsement."

I'm waiting to receive my answer from McCain's office.
I hope others will do the same.

While you are waiting, here's another Hagee quotation to mull over:

God sent the hunters. The hunter is one who pursues his target with force and fear. No one could see the horror of the Holocaust coming, but the force and fear of Hitler's Nazis drove the Jewish people back to the only home God ever intended for the Jews to have-Israel.... I am stricken with awe and wonder at his boundless love for Israel and the Jewish people..."

- "Jerusalem Countdown", paperback edition, pages 132 and 133.

God's tough love for Jews?
With love like that, I'll take hatred any day.

Oh, and guess what Jews are responsible for anti-semitism

It was the disobedience and rebellion of the Jews, God's chosen people, to their covenantal responsibility to serve only the one true God, Jehovah, that gave rise to the opposition and persecution that they experienced beginning in Canaan and continuing to this very day....

How utterly repulsive, insulting, and heartbreaking to God for His chosen people to credit idols with bringing blessings He had showered upon the chosen people. Their own rebellion had birthed the seed of anti-Semitism that would arise and bring destruction to them for centuries to come....

- "Jerusalem Countdown: A Prelude To War", paperback edition, pages 92 and 93.

No, I'm sorry. I refuse to take personal responsibility for someone else's anti-semitism. That "blame the victim" type of thinking, dear Mr. Hagee is what is "repulsive, insulting and heartbreaking."
